Lawn & Garden Industry

Manufacturers of lawn and garden equipment rely on durable, long-lasting components that perform in harsh outdoor environments. From mowers and tillers to handheld trimmers and blowers, these machines are expected to operate smoothly through dirt, moisture, vibration, and seasonal wear. Clairon Metals Corporation supports leading OEMs by supplying critical structural and mechanical parts with consistent quality and production flexibility.

Meeting Industry Demands

Lawn and garden equipment must balance strength, weight, and cost. Frames, brackets, and housings need to resist corrosion, absorb impact, and maintain structural integrity through thousands of hours of use. At the same time, OEMs need to manage costs to stay competitive in a seasonal market. Clairon helps meet these goals by delivering precision-formed parts and assemblies that are ready for integration into finished equipment. We can process up to 66” wide coils in various gauges and grades.

Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities

Clairon operates a vertically integrated metal stamping and fabrication facility capable of producing both simple and complex assemblies. Press capacities range from 35 to 1,100 tons, supporting a wide range of material thicknesses and part geometries. Robotic MIG and resistance welding systems allow for high-strength assemblies with repeatable weld quality. Our in-house tooling and engineering teams work closely with OEMs to accelerate design and production.

Parts such as stamped mower parts and stamped mower frames are commonly produced for national brands. These components are often built to tight tolerances and involve multiple manufacturing steps, including forming, welding, and finishing.

Common Components

Clairon manufactures a wide variety of parts used in commercial and residential lawn and garden machines, including:

  • Lawn machinery brackets for securing decks, engines, and wheel assemblies
  • Outdoor power equipment components such as blade supports, axle mounts, and handle structures
  • Stamped mower frames and base structures
  • Metal housings for garden tools used in powered trimmers and edgers
  • Operator panels, safety guards, and support plates

Each part is produced to meet durability requirements while fitting seamlessly into high-volume assembly lines.

Material and Finishing Options

Clairon works with a wide range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-strength low-alloy steels. Material selection is based on strength, corrosion resistance, and formability needs. Finishing services are offered through partnerships with regional providers, allowing for powder coating, plating, and e-coating options to meet outdoor exposure requirements.

Engineering Support and Product Development

OEMs benefit from Clairon’s ability to support new product introductions, redesigns, and cost-down projects. Our team provides design-for-manufacture support to reduce weight, simplify weldments, and shorten production lead times. This is especially important for large parts such as stamped mower frames, where small improvements can lead to significant savings.

Quality and Production Systems

Clairon maintains an ISO 9001-certified quality system with strong process controls. Inspection and testing protocols are built into every production stage to meet customer standards. For high-volume programs, we offer multi-shift production capacity and flexible work cells that adapt to seasonal fluctuations common in the lawn and garden industry.

To support OEM supply chains, Clairon offers just-in-time delivery, line-side packaging, and custom kitting services. Our location in the southeastern United States provides efficient access to major manufacturing hubs across the region.
